The weather has really picked up the last couple of days and my urge to go riding has jumped up a gear (no pun intended) with there only being 6 days left before my trip to Hong Kong. Last night, Ste dropped me a line and we hooked up for a quick cruised ride around my town and after watching X numbers of videos after the ride we were so motivated to go ride and film at some spots, we threw all my...

I find myself apologising a lot on here...
…but yet again, I’m sorry for the lack of work. Things have been a little difficult around here, but be sure there are things to come, BIG things. I’ll be making the announcement in late March, but if you keep an eye out, you will see a name pop up every so often at either the beginning of end of my videos. This name will be the start of the “BIG” thing for me and...

A little sneak peek of a filler clip I got today. Scotland really is beautiful. The weather only added to how magnificent this landscape is…best, location, ever.

Excuse the lack of work
I’ve recently started my new job as an editor for a Bike Business website so things have been a little hectic around here. Plus, with winter really starting to settle in, fewer and fewer riders are out so there’s not much to shoot. However, I will be in Scotland next week on a 3 day video shoot with Dave Hall of The 5th Floor, so expect to see some behind the scene, life style images...

Let me first say, thanks for everyones patience with this blog. I do try and update it, but with all the things happening at the moment, my work has taken a slower pace. However, here is the first piece I’ve done for a long time. Filmed over a period of two glorious days of sunshine and hot weather,  me and the Coalville riders decided it was time to produce something at our local park. And...

Further Problems
Yet again, I find myself apologising to all of you who follow this blog, but it will be some time before I have any further work to show. This is due to my Macbook’s logic board failing on me which has meant I’ve had to buy a new iMac. Fortunately most of my work is backed up but any new work I’v completed in the last 2 weeks was still on the internal hard-drive of my Macbook....

Coalville Locals
So now that I’ve officially moved back to Leicestershire indefinitely I’ve been riding and working with locals nearly every day. Here’s a few of the images I’ve got since I’ve been back and look out for the edit that will be dropping sometime next week.  We’ve already planned several trips so there’s going to be a lot of work coming with these...

I filmed this a month back and have only just found the time to put the clips together. Tom Raven is a regular rider down South Bank Skatepark and I’ve known him for a couple of years now and he kills it every day he rides. He will literately pick up your bike and ride just as hard or even harder than you can. Super talented young dude and always a pleasure to ride with him.

My apologies
I’m sorry for the lack of work being posted.  I’ve been stupidly busy the last month with working out some personal things and moving back to Leicestershire and looking for an actual job. But fear not, everything has been sorted out and things are back on track and work will be flowing once again…starting tonight. I’m pretty much booked out for the next few months with...

A month ago my good buddy Dave Procter asked me to help with the testing of the new RED EPIC camera. We spent the entire day shooting with it and testing out what it was capable of, and trust me, its capable of a lot. Shooting at 300fps we tested how well the camera would capture particals. We quickly came to the conclusion that it did a fantatsic job. Dave put together this short 30 second video...

Good Byes are never easy
Good byes are never easy, and the hardest ones are those that have been such an integral part of one’s life. 18 months ago I began an editorial project as part of my university course on the subject of the fixed gear community in London. Before I knew it I was asked to be a representative of The 5th Floor and their in-house photographer.  Now, 18 months on, myself and The 5th Floor have...

BÖIKZMÖIND, Bristol premiere
3 years ago, Gavin and his editor, Johnny (MAKINOV) released a short video under the working title of  Day & Night. It was the first teaser for their fixed gear bike film and already showed some signs promise.  A short year later, they released the trailer for what we now know as BÖIKZMÖIND. With amazing visuals and silky smooth editing, it quickly dawned on my that this film was not to be...

Reciprocity Failure
“Reciprocity Failure is the law by which the sensitivity of film is lessened through overexposure. As photography continues to explode as the chosen medium of our time, we are continually blasted with images on an every day basis from billboards and magazine ads to facebook photo albums and a friend’s cell phone camera. It’s all to easy with this visual photographic overload to become...

This weekend has been busy
But good. After helping a friend out fix her bike, I went to meet one of the most humble fixed gear riders I have every met. I’m going to be showing the dude around town and covering his trip to London before he heads on the next part of his MAD bike trip, so be on the look out for some behind the scene, day to day photos. (And maybe an article in a future issue of Landscape Magazine) ...

The Crux @ Teddington Lock
I headed over to Teddington the other day to shoot a trails edit for The Crux. While I was there I managed to get a few photos of some them hitting the trails. Most of these boys don’t ride dirt so it’s great to see them trying out new things. As it was a day focused on creating an edit, I only really got these images. But be on the look out for the wed edit to drop later this...

The Crux, Connor Hoskings photo shoot
For the first time in weeks, maybe even months, the sun actually filled London in a wonderful and warm glow. I hooked up with Connor of The Crux LDN again to get some photos done… As you would have noticed, I’ve been working closely with this dude and his team for the last few months and there’s a few more things in line. One of which will be an edit showcasing some of the...

Back in May, Will & James of Brother Cycles asked me to film their promotional video for their new frame that is now on pre-order. Was a really great day filming with the guys, and the new frame is quite lovely.  Post-production was a little stressful, but I’m glad it finally dropped and I’m stoked that both the boys are happy with the results. Good luck with the sales guys, sure...

Kent based, Command (CMND) BMX took the short trip to London and teamed up with Connor from The Crux LDN for a day of riding a couple of spots around the capital. Hitting up the over ridden Southbank Skate park early in the day and then moving on to a “Secret” spot in east London.  As you’d expect, Connor killed it with his clean riding and Rob Brown (CMND BMX) threw down some...

I’ve mentioned this guy a lot in the last couple of weeks, but he deserves it every time. In the year I’ve been working with the bike industry as a photographer and videography I’ve seen all sorts of riders progress with their riding abilities, whether thats in Fixed gear freestyle, BMX or street mountain bike. And no one has impressed me as much as Connor Hoskings.  The last...

Herne Hill Track Night
This evening, Rudy asked me to join him, Dan & Mark down at Herne Hill Velodrome to chill out and get some photos. It was another beautiful day in London, really sunny at one point but then the clouds started to form over head and the humidity was almost unbearable. It’s always fun to photograph at the velodrome, it’s a totally different environment to what I usually photograph so...

Castle to Castle Coverage
26th June saw the hottest day of 2011. Mother nature obviously remembered that the boys at 5th Floor organised the Castle to Castle Ride. Departing from Elephant & Castle, 29 riders powered their way through South West London and into Berkshire.  The pace of the pack was really good. Having drove a different and what I thought was a quicker direction, I was surprised to find out that they was...

Road Trip #1
Me and some of the lad at my local organised a little road trip to Bottesford Skate Park. 2 cars, 5 bikes and very little idea of how to get there always adds up to a good trip. Bottesford skate park is by far one of the best wood built skatepark in the Midlands. Big quarters, awesome mini ramp and plenty of space (For me and my fixed). I was photographing all day and managed to get a handful of...

In addition, I’ll be produce a web edit of Ste and the other riders, just to show I’m not slacking. I’ve also recently completed a promo for a...

Quick Hello
Welcome to my “Work” blog. Many of you who are reading this will already be following my personal blog, and after a year of having my work being intertwined and lost with my personal & inspirational contents, I felt it was time to keep the two separate.  For the last year (along university) I’ve been focusing my photography on the bike scene in and around the UK. Spending...
